Joyful Language Lessons Continued

Edwina is our favorite dinosaur who forgot to be extinct. Really, we love her. We talk about her all the time in casual conversation in our classroom.

We recently read an article from Time for Kids about a sea creature who is perhaps in danger of extinction. One buddy asked the curious question:

Student 1: "Miss Rachel. How does something become extinct?"

"Well... how do you think?"

Student 2 (joyful English learner): "If it never takes a shower."

(Cue wild laughter)

Although she wasn't saying it as a joke, it has now become one of our favorite classroom jokes. She thought it was quite hilarious after explanation.
