A Joyful Monday
29) Working with the globe during some 5th grade math. It came off its stand when I went to pick it up. And then the world proceeded to roll. Into my coffee cup. Dumping my glorious morning coffee out. Rude.
"Miss Rachel! How dare that globe?! Should we make it sit on the porch for a while as a consequence?"
30) Morning rhetoric work. Some of my guys are working on memorizing part of Woodrow Wilson's War Message. One of my third grade dudes came to me to express his concern.
"Miss Rachel. President Wilson was a democrat. I am not sure I like democrats. Don't you have any Dwight Eisenhower speeches? He was a republican."
What a character! (Also...how do you know these things??!)
31) This Monday squirmy worm. He found it nearly impossible to begin his morning work for at least 10 minutes. Taking your coat off can be hard sometimes. Or standing up. Standing up is hard, too.
32) Our lunchtime Angelus. Where else would kids bicker over who gets to lead the Angelus? God is good!
33) Teaching negative integers and absolute value to an English learning lady who was learning how to add money a year ago at this time. Bring it on pre-algebra! You don't scare us!
