When life hands you lemons...you wear mustaches and hold a winter olympics.

It is mid-February and we are still trying to get a handle on "normal life" here at Little Way. Since my last post we have had even more snow days and late starts. The inconsistency of our schedule has put a serious damper on our work, and it is breaking our hearts!

Last week we had school on Monday, 6ish inches of snow and ice over the span of 3 days (keeping us from school), and spotty attendance on Friday. It was too tricky for some of the kiddos to get to school with the remaining snow, and so we had to hold off on our afternoon debate work. (We are debating the best types of animal adaptations. It has been epic. More on that to follow.)

So what better to do when you are handed yet another snow day and another off-kilter week than plan our 1st annual winter olympic games? We did. We planned several events. And medals were awarded.

The mustaches were in honor of Valentine's day (obviously). It was a good day all around. But we are ready for our normal! I still have hope in you, spring.
