Scary Larry and Padre Pio

Last week we celebrated Halloween and All Saint's day.

We spent the afternoon carving a giant pumpkin (which is very out of character for this routine-crazy teacher). He was giant, and had tons of pumpkin gunk in him. It was great fun. We named him Scary Larry. He even had a pig nose.

Our classroom was full of holy men and women on All Saint's Day. St. Gemma stopped by. St. Joan of Arc, St. Cecelia, and St. Ann made appearances as well. We even had two Padre Pios. Padre Pio was known to be able to bi-locate in his earthly life (how cool are the saints?!). So my two fellas just reassured everyone that one was the real Padre Pio, and the other was simply the bi-located version of him. What a bunch of adorable Catholic nerds.
