We have been reading different prophesies from the Old Testament as we get ready for Christmas. We have discussed how it is almost as if the prophets from a long, long time ago wanted to give clues to the people about when a Messiah would come to them. Madison and I have brilliant discussions about how the fulfillment of each of the prophesies is found is the story of Jesus' birth. The conversations with Noah have taken a slightly different path, for he is convinced that the prophets were in the business of writing riddles. It is simply our job to figure out what they are talking about! I suppose there is a truth to that! He was also inspired to do some prophesying of his own...kind of.
He gave Madison and I a detailed description of one of the riddles he will publish in a riddle book he wants to write (perhaps kind of like how the Old Testament is a book of riddles?).
"Miss Rachel...here is one. What has four heads, and icy tail, and breathes fire?"
"I don't know Noah. I have no idea. Are you sure this is a riddle?"
"Yes it is."
"Okay I still don't know."
"It is an fire-breathing, four headed, ice dragon."
"I don't get it. How was I ever supposed to guess that?"
"Well that's why I have to write a book--so you can know the answers."
Oh. I know so little. :)
