Thank you, St. Patrick.

What a great day of learning about this amazing saint of Ireland.  After reading a beautiful story by Tomie dePaola (Patrick: Patron Saint of Ireland) we had an excellent discussion about his life and the great courage he showed when God asked him to spread the Gospel to the Irish people. He had to leave his family behind to listen to God's call. Wow! After checking out the map to see where Ireland is located (and reciting the names of all of its neighbors using our very best Irish accents) Noah decided to share the book with our Montessori friends next door.

After about ten minutes I realized that Noah had perhaps gotten lost on the 10-step journey, and went to check on him. The classroom was beautifully silent, and all I could hear was Noah reading the story of St. Patrick, with six children gathered around him. Not only was he reading the story aloud, but he was asking questions along the way, helping the younger children to fully understand how St. Patrick did great things for God. Nothing like a little dude doing a read-aloud and asking comprehension questions to warm my heart. Thank you, St. Patrick! Great work, Noah!
