We have only been back for one day, but holy smokes...I can already tell 2013 has a lot in store for us! Here are a couple of things:
-Big toothless smiles. We did not waste any time with 2013 tooth losing. I was putting a tiny tooth in a baggie before 9 a.m. on Monday. Third grade is the best!
-Email. My English Learning Lady got email for Christmas. Woo! I had heard this exciting news before we got back to school, so I sent her an email several days ago. Our conversation the first morning back went like this:
MR: Okay crew. I want to hear what was exciting from your vacation.
Lady: Miss Rachel!! I got email! I can email! Finally! (loud screams. frantic flailing.)
MR: I heard the good news! Did you get my email? I wrote to you?
Lady: Oh you write to me? I guess I don't really check my email.
MR: Huh?
-Dangly earrings. You get to look forward to dangly earrings in 2013 because pretty soon will be 6 months after you got your ears pierced and you won't have to wear studs anymore. Obviously.
-2013 Reading goals. Which include The Magna Carta, Swiss Family Robinson, The Little Princess, and "anything with elves and wizards". (I have the best students ever).
-Countless more little joys in our classroom!
