23) A purple sharpie in a giant gift bag. "I knew you would like it, Miss Rachel. Plus, I have two and I don't need both of them." Nothing says "Happy Birthday" like random stuff you can find in the house. So sweet :)
24) "Miss Rachel, I wore wedding hair today." Oh excuse me. Must be rough to be so glamorous in the third grade.
25) My teenage lady letting me know that she would need to go home at lunch like our preschoolers. "I just really need to nap. You okay with that, Miss Rachel?"
26) A vanilla latte and a pink rose from the sweetest colleague on the planet. Thanks for making my day bright, Mrs. Gabriela!
27) Another present from one of my little ladies--an endangered species collector card. At the bottom it encouraged card collectors to write a letter to the president to ask him to support programs that protect endangered species. The president to write was William Clinton. I didn't have the heart to tell her she gave me a 15 year old birthday present. Precious!
28) This quote: "Miss Rachel--no need to go on a date with Justin Bieber for your birthday. You should go with Justin Verlander instead. He would go on a date with you, right?"
