Madison and I write in a dialogue journal to keep in touch about the reading that we are doing at home. I tell her about my book, and she keeps me to up to date on hers. I always enjoy hearing the lastest from Nancy Drew's or Percy Jackson's adventures.
A focus of our little community is sharing our reading lives. I have been striving to create an environment where reading great literature is our gateway to learning. I am currently immersed in the final book of the Harry Potter series, and have been updating Madison on how I daydream about curling up with my HP book and a cup of tea. I recently wrote to her about how I have to force myself to turn out the lights at night! My letter ended with the question "Have you ever experienced that problem?!" Here is my response :)
Hey Miss Rachel,
Are you kidding! I have to force myself every night to turn out the lamp! Right now I am reading the lost Hero. I have not goten very far yet. I am on page 94 out of 553. So it is prity long. I will tell you or should I say writ to you all about it. Ha! Ha! Ha! a littel Dialog humer. Funy isn't it! Well can't wait to hear back from you!
