A book so great you can't put it down.

Madison is reading a new story—I have been looking for picture books for her that are fairly involved with more print and a complex plot. She is an excellent reader, but I have been encouraging her to read picture books and chapter books. Picture books are for people of all ages! I found her an interesting rendition of Rumpelstilskin to read. I went to check on her after a bit of our workshop and asked her how she was doing. She kind of ignored me and so I sat down and asked her again (it is not that abnormal for me to be ignored during reading time!). After asking two more times she looked up from her book, looked me right in the eye and said “I can’t put it down.” And went right back to her reading. That will show me to get in the way of a good book!
