As we waited for Madison to arrive this morning, Noah determined that we probably should sing a song that was appropriate for the yucky, dreary rainy day we are having. So we proceeded to march around the room to "The Ants go Marching"....obviously :) Just in case you feel like singing a rainy day song later, here are a few of the verses--both the originals, and some add-ons for the verses that Noah and I couldn't remember :)
The ants go marching one by one, the little one stops to suck his thumb.
The ants go marching two by two, the little one stops to go to the zoo.
The ants go marching three by three, the little one stops to climb a tree.
........four by four, the little one stops to snore and snore.
.........five by five, the little one stops to do a jive.
.........six by six, the little one stops to pick up sticks (or do some kicks!).
........seven by seven, the little one stops to play with Kevin (Not sure who Kevin is..but great rhyme, Noah!)
........eight by eight, the little one stops to close the gate. (Lame. We couldn't think of anything else!)
........nine by nine, the little one stops to climb a vine.
.......ten by ten, the little one stops to see his friend!
